Welcome to Local Vocals

Based in Waterlooville, Hampshire, Local Vocals is an adult singing group founded by qualified singing teacher Jay Way in January 2012.

With a passion for music and bringing people together, Jay has created a friendly, welcoming environment where everyone feels comfortable, included and part of one big family. Adults of all abilities can develop their singing skills, build confidence and enjoy making music together in a relaxed and supportive atmosphere.

Jay qualified as a singing teacher in 2011 and has extensive experience teaching both children and adults in schools and privately. She has also established children’s choirs, giving young singers opportunities to perform at local events.

At Local Vocals, it’s about much more than just singing! Friendship and having fun are at the heart of everything we do. We love socialising together outside our regular singing sessions, whether it’s enjoying karaoke nights, meeting for coffee mornings, going out for brunch or heading off on theatre trips.

Local Vocals is more than a singing group — it’s a community where friendships grow, confidence blossoms and everyone belongs.
